Seed Priming
Seed priming means impregnating the seeds before planting with a compound(s) that increase(s) the germination power of the seeds, the volume of the roots, and better and suitable establishment of the seedling.
Fertilizers recommended for seed priming all types of seeds (one of the following fertilizers should be used):
- Khazra Nano Chelated Complete Micro fertilizer (300g per ton of seeds)
- Khazra Nano Chelated Zinc fertilizer (300 grams per ton of seeds)
Based on the above information, 1kg of Khazra Nano Chelated Complete Micro or Zinc fertilizer is enough to fertilize 3 tons of seeds.
Methods of Seed Priming:
- At the same time as cleaning the seeds in case of mixing with pesticides
- Mixing seeds and seed priming agent in a mixer: depending on the capacity of the mixer, put the seeds in, and dilute the necessary amount of seed priming agent with enough water and add them to the mixer while the mixer is rotating and mix well until covered the seeds evenly.
- Spread a certain amount of the seed on the plastic on the ground, dilute the necessary amount of the seed priming agent with enough water and spray it on the seed with a sprayer and mix well with a paddle or a similar device at the same time to evenly spread it, to be smeared with seeds constantly.
